Powder coating

In partnership with Aestus Design.

GF Carval and Aestus Design have joined forces in industrial powder coating. Aestus's line in Anagni (FR) treats metal workpieces, including very large ones, with a complete process from surface preparation to oven curing, for long-lasting finishes protected against corrosion. A service for metalworkers, blacksmiths, contractors and companies that make or install metal structures.

What we coat

  • Structural steelwork

Sections, beams, tubes and components for metal structures.

  • Gates, railings and fences

Outdoor pieces that need to withstand the weather over time.

  • Large parts

Parts up to 15 metres long and up to 3 metres high and wide.

  • Any RAL colour

The full RAL range with a choice of finishes and no minimum batch: even a single piece can be coated.

The process step by step

  1. 01

    Cleaning

Surfaces are prepared and cleaned with dedicated machinery.

  2. 02

    Phosphate degreasing

The iron treatment that removes grease and residues and prepares the metal for coating.

  3. 03

    Primer

A base coat that creates a barrier against corrosion from natural and chemical agents, even in harsh environments.

  4. 04

    Coating

Dry application of coloured powders based on synthetic resins, in a booth with automatic guns.

  5. 05

    Curing

Curing in a hot-air oven between 180 and 220 °C for about 20 minutes: the powder melts and forms the finish.

  • A line for large parts: 15 metres long, 3 high and 3 wide.
  • Industrial coating line with automatic guns.
